Winstons Weekend

Last weekend we attended cousin Lee's retirement party. Winston had a great time playing and visiting with family.

Week at the Beach

Last week was vacation week in Nags Head. We were able to visit with many friends and family. It was a little hot and the ocean was a little cold, but all in all it was a great trip. Winston spent Sunday morning before we left with his pediatrician. His cough turned into a wheeze so he was placed on two inhalers, prednisone, and an antibiotic. He actually was never fussy, but he didn't enjoy the inhaler. He was able to enjoy the beach and is now fully recovered. I hope to have more beach shots soon. My camera only made it out once during the trip! Winston went home with Granny on Friday night so Mom could relax on the beach for a day and go out to dinner. Being able to sleep in was much appreciated. We are still not sleeping through the night so I will take any sleep I can get!

Winston has been trying to crawl for the past two weeks. I keep grabbing the video camera thinking today will be the day but no go so far. He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth then gets frustrated and flattens out to his tummy and scoots backwards. Today he actually managed to bring his arm forward and pull his body forward.....so I think better get on baby proofing the house! Winston now has two visible bottom teeth. Which of course means non stop drooling. He has not acted like they bother him but the baby ambesole is on stand by just in case!

6mo Pictures

Winston had his 6mo pictures made yesterday, with his cousins Tanner and Drew. All three boys did a great job and made the photo shoot a breeze. These are a few of the pics. They are off the CD that came with the package and are not cropped. We are looking forward to spending next week at the beach. Will send pics when we get home!

Relaxing Weekend

Not much to report on this weekend. Winston had a nice visit with Granny and then went swimming on Saturday. Sunday we went to church and then stayed inside the rest of the day due to the rain:(

Winston's 6mo B-Day!

Mommy has finally gotten the internet at home going. Sorry for the break in the action. Winston is doing well following a tough week last week. He had double ear infections which were made worse by the antibiotic causing an upset tummy and diarrhea. There was very little sleep in our house last week. Winston stayed out of daycare for two days and B took care of him. After stopping the antibiotic he was back to his cheery little self. We are still working on the sleep part!

Winston is trying different veggies and so far likes sweet potatoes best, although he still gets more on him than in him. He is sitting up and playing with toys and trying to crawl. Won't be long!

Today was Winston's 6mo birthday. He had a good pediatrician check up. He is on the small side at 15lbs and 25 1/4in, but the pediatrician assured us he would catch up once he started to get some food in him. This week I have started him on half breast milk, half formula. It took him a while to get used to this new taste, but now he gulps the bottles down.

Happy 4th!

Sorry, no 4th of July pictures. Mom forgot the camera! Winston spent the weekend at B's house and enjoyed swimming in the river. He also loved the fire works. I thought he would be scared, but oh no, he smiled and jumped in my lap just starring at the sky. Unfortunately this must have made him wired because he stayed up all night long! Better luck tonight! The pics below are a couple of weeks old. The first two is Winston's reaction to powdered formula. He made it clear he preferred mommy's milk! The last one is Winston sitting up. He is getting quite strong!
